Ford's Cove Hornby Island - photo by Remi Nadeau

Hand building, throwing or Raku firing, Ekta abides by the rule of thumb, leaving space for the unpredictable. She spends the bulk of her studio time at her Purple Feet Studio on Hornby Island.
"Playing with clay is a passion for me. I get strong ideas, sink my hands into the clay and go further, losing and loosing myself in form and texture. The clay brings focus to the moment and refreshing playfulness to life."

Hornby Island is located in the Northern Gulf Islands on the Westcoast beside Vancouver Island. Photo of Sandpiper beach
